Demon Bound is out today. It’s my sixth published novel and my ninth completed one (but shhh, we pretend those other three don’t exist, much like your murderous offspring that you chain in the root cellar.)

Demon Bound was handed in, in draft, at a really awful time for me mentally and personally, and I didn’t have a chance to write a dedication or acknowledgments. So I’m posting them here, in the hopes that the people who matter see them.
To Stacey and Cherie, the two people I’d want watching my back when my deal came due.
This book belongs to a lot of people–to my amazing agent, Rachel Vater and my awesome editor, Rose Hilliard, who talked me down from the brink of insanity and made this a real book. Too my parents, as always, who support me in everything, no matter how crazy it sounds. My BFF Sara, for late-night chats and in-jokes that kept me going. Thanks to all of Team Seattle for listening to me despair the book would never be done, and to Karen Mahoney, Stacia Kane and Tiffany Trent for demanding more Jack so that I had to finish, no matter what. Chris McGrath and my wonderful art director at St. Martin’s delivered another fantastic cover. Mark Henry helped me (often hilariously) make the Thai setting authentic. All the booksellers everywhere who have jumped behind the Black London series, all the reviewers, all the readers…you made this book possible. Thank you.
If you’d like a copy of Demon Bound, here are some spots you can get one:
Amazon
Borders
IndieBound
Barnes & Noble
And now I’m off to sign books in the flesh. I’m out.
I write speculative fiction, including but not limited to books about mages, werewolves, superheroes, steampunk monsters, fairies and demons. I have partially purple hair, collect comic books, do pinup modeling and photography in my copious spare time, and keep the music up way too loud.
My copy arrived a few days ago, and I can hardly wait to get to it!
Please push your publisher to price the Kindle edition of your book at or below the dead tree version. I’m ready to read, but can’t buy it until that happens. Thanks!
Found this beauty in the bookstore today and murmured, “Mine!” Just getting into it. I really enjoy the complex interpersonal dynamics between Pete and Jack. Talk about tortured characters… Thanks for writing such great stories, even when life does suck.
So, last year, i was stuck in a hospital for a month straight with my mom. to pass the time, i like to read, but sadly, i didnt have any books with me, so i asked my dad to pick me up something new and different. it was then that i read street magic, and from then on, i anxiously waited for demon bound to hit the shelves. i bought it 2 days ago, and just finished reading 5 minutes ago lol. excellent read, really did love it, though i’m sad about the cliff hanger ending, and i’m really wondering…are there going to be anymore books to the series? and if so, do you have any idea how many? i really do love the books, and want more. i’m actually going to go buy the hole nocturne city series this week and read them too, really do like your work. thanks for the great books =-)
