Turns out, there is a prize for 2nd.

Murder One Books in London has invited me to sign while I’m abroad, and I’ll be there on November 15th (or 15 November, if that’s your thing) starting at 5 p.m.  I’m delighted to be doing this event, so if you’re in the London area please stop by!

I’m very pleased to announce that Night Life has gone into a second printing and continues to sell steadily. Thanks to all my fantastic readers for buying the book, and that goes for Pure Blood, which is still going strong, as well.

Did about 1,600 words today on DitGWtDMG, making me only a day short.  Creeping towards the halfway point…my Adventure Party (for that’s how I think of Jack and his band, as a terribly inept and lopsided D&D campaign) has entered the catacombs under Glasgow and are making their way towards the room with the orcs.  And the pie.

I’m not mad at Supernatural any more, dudes.  Despite having the worst title ever, tonight’s got me back on board.  Sure, it’s Judeo-Christian mythology.  But it’s being treated as mythology, not Kripke’s cockeyed agenda, so, fine.  I like mythology.  It’s not mine, but neither is Norse, Hindu or Buddhist, all of which SPN has employed in the past.  Also, Bobby stated that his texts on angels go back way before the Old Testament, and Castiel stated basically the same thing.  So clearly, we are not gonna see Roma Downey swanning around.  “Angels” and “demons” are just convenient modern definitions for the oldest monsters on earth.  And I actually think that’s pretty awesome.

I still think Castiel (if that IS his name) has an agenda.  No one who’s that good looking doesn’t.

I had a bit of a whirlwind day.  The installer came to give me an estimate for my kitchen floor, my cabinets are coming on Saturday (what didn’t fit into my car) and next week I’m going to take a crowbar to the old kitchen so my Handy Neighbor can hang the new drywall and I can prime/paint the walls and ceiling, which is currently a disgraceful shade of Nicotiene Yellow.  Then Handy Neighbor can install a new subfloor.  Then Vince the Wonder Installer can put down the new vinyl.  Then me and various bits of Team Seattle can install cabinets.

Then I will have a mostly-complete kitchen.

Dude.
