aitlin started
writing novels at age 13. Her first was a Star Wars tie-in.
Fortunately, she branched out from there and after a few
years trying to be a screenwriter, a comic book writer and
the author of copious amounts of fanfiction, she tried to
write a novel again. Her epic dark fantasy (thankfully)
never saw the light of day but while she was struggling
with elves and sorcerers she got the idea of writing a story
about a werewolf who fought crime.
Two years and many, many drafts later, she pitched Night
Life to a bevy of agents and one of them, Rachel Vater,
sold the series to St. Martin's.
When not writing, Caitlin works for a game design company
and collects comic books, print books,
vintage clothes, and bad habits. She loves tea, loud music,
the color black (especially mixed with the color pink) and
ghost stories. She can drive a stick shift, play the violin
and knows more English curses than American ones.
Caitlin lives near Seattle, WA with a roommate and two
pushy cats.
Can't get enough? I'm usually happy to give an interview
(unless you're scamming for an ARC of one of my novels. Then I'll
get very upset and release the space weasels on you.) Email me
at contact@caitlinkittredge.com
with the word INTERVIEW somewhere in the subject line, and give
me an easy way to take a look at your publication.
To invite me to a book signing, convention,
school visit or event, please email me with the word APPEARANCE
somewhere in the subject line.
I'm pretty open minded about the sort of
events I attend. My schedule is usually the biggest factor.
I like being invited to SFF conventions, comic cons, book
fairs, events for literacy/libraries, indie bookstores and
the like. I probably won't be showing up at your family
values rally, pro-censorship event or the Republican National
Convention.
Please note that my books are shelved under
"Adult Fiction" and some content may not be appropriate
for children under 17 when booking school events.
Not sure if I'll attend something? Just
ask!
Cover Blurb Policy
Please email Rachel Vater at rachel@foliolit.com
with your cover blurb requests. I cannot read novels not
under contract to a publishing house that meets the SFWA
guidelines for print or electronic publication for a variety
of tedious legal reasons.
